Loyalton's Milton Gottardi Museum

Preserving the history of the Sierra Valley

Auditorium

The Loyalton Milton-Gottardi Museum includes an auditorium, which served as the auditorium and cafeteria during the building’s previous life as Loyalton’s junior high school. We host local events year-round; be sure to check our calendar regularly for new events, or feel free to reach out to us to reserve the space for your own event.

Stage and Dance Floor

The auditorium features a stage with lighting, stair access, and curtains - perfect for musical and theatrical performances alike. The stage opens to plenty of space for dancing and seating alike. The south wall features a mural of the Sierra Valley and surrounding area.

Kitchen

The auditorium space includes a small kitchen with a sink, refrigerator, oven, and other amenities suitable for hosting catered events.

Hearse

The hearse has been a long-time fixture of Loyalton’s history, and is proudly presented in the northeast corner of the auditorium. This hearse belonged to Mrs. Alice Rees, who served as Sierra County’s coroner and public administrator.
